Visa Process for Russia
Many people
complain about the difficult visa process
for Russia, but it is, in fact, no more
difficult than obtaining a visa for Dubai or
many other countries.
The
basics of the process are that you need an
"invitation" to obtain a visa - but that
invitation can easily be obtained from the
hotel at which you intend to stay.
This invitation is sometimes called a "hotel
voucher".
Once
you book your hotel - request your voucher
and it can usually be faxed to you within
one to two business days. It is that
voucher along with your visa application
that will obtain the visa you want.
There
is - of course - some forms to fill out and
photocopies of documents, but again - not
really any more difficult than for many
other countries.
Your
best bet: Double check everything with
your nearest Russian Federation Embassy or
Consulate.
