The
Kempinski Moika 22 Hotel’s location is
unsurpassed, directly opposite the Hermitage
Museum on Palace Square in the very heart of
St. Petersburg.
The
hotel is housed in a mansion designed by
Basil von Witte in 1853, during the reign of
Tsar Nicholas I. The classical façade of the
building has been retained, while the
interior has been reconstructed and
decorated with antiques of the period to
provide a sophisticated period ambience.
Guestrooms are decorated in nautical fashion
to reflect the city’s port status and
incorporate the highest level of
appointments including goose-down pillows
and duvets, heated bathroom floors,
high-speed internet access and telephone
line, interactive LCD TV, and mini-bar.
Suites offer views of the Hermitage Museum
in Palace Square and have flowering
balconies offering guests views of the boats
on the Moika River, passing under the
Pechevski Bridge, ceilings two meters higher
than elsewhere in the hotel, a spacious
sitting room and bedroom decorated with
antiques and paintings from the Empire
Period, a bathroom decorated in green and
white marble with a bathtub and additional
shower stall, a double washbasin, and
Bulgari amenities.
